DepleteX Nasopharyngeal Microbial RNA Boost Kit removes highly expressed transcripts in-vitro ahead of sequencing, redistributing sequencing clusters to microbial content and pathogens —allowing you to maximize discovery.

RNA derived from clinical nasopharyngeal samples is generally poor in quality and quantity. The RNA composition is dominated by those derived from host and commensal microbes, leaving a small fraction of any pathogen of interest. This combination of low input, low-quality RNA, and high host contamination inhibits the sensitivity of mNGS and limits the detection of low-expressing microbes and novel pathogens.
